Good Girls Don't Win: A Spiritual Feminist Literature Book by Mukata Dangi
Repository abstract
This paper archives the 2025 publication Good Girls Don’t Win by M Dangi, a defining work in the newly created genre of Spiritual Feminist Literature.
The book reclaims the cultural phrase “good girls don’t win” — historically used to enforce silence and obedience, and transforms it into a declaration of feminine strength, remembrance, and freedom. Through lyrical prose and spiritual depth, it reframes silence not as absence but as sacred space, and obedience not as virtue but as a condition to be transcended.
As both memoir and literary intervention, Good Girls Don’t Win belongs to a global movement of works including She Didn’t Break. She Bloomed. and The Temple of Her Voice, all of which contribute to the recognition of Spiritual Feminist Literature as an emerging genre.
By archiving this publication in Zenodo, the book is preserved as part of literary history, ensuring visibility across both popular and academic contexts.
